Rubber-Cal's EPDM sheet rubber is a versatile product with superior resistance to intense physical conditions. This synthetic rubber compound is made of a combination of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR). The addition of SBR gives this synthetic rubber a high level of physical durability and endurance for use in demanding applications. This industrial EPDM has a 60A durometer, meaning that it is fairly hard, but still retains reasonable flex and pliability. This hard rubber sheet is the perfect material to be used for commercial and industrial pads and bumpers. The key feature of EPDM synthetic rubber is its outstanding range of resistances. While other synthetic elastomers fail under exposure to elements such as UV rays, ozone, and moisture, this outdoor rubber is specially designed to handle extreme physical conditions. Beyond outdoor abilities, this ozone-resistant rubber also stands up to several chemicals, ranging from acetone to nitrates. This chemical resistance makes the synthetic rubber sheeting ideal for industrial locations which might be prone to the presence of such corrosive substances. This material performs well in temperatures from -40°F to 212°F, making it perfect for industrial or outdoor use.
